Cory Wright
Cory is a painter, muralist, and mother of two young budding artists. Her mural painting career began at the
age of 15 when she painted a tropical jungle mural on her bedroom wall. A local interior designer saw it and
began referring her clients to her. Since then, she's worked with numerous designers, builders, businesses and
individuals, creating custom commercial and residential murals and decorative wall finishes throughout the country.
In 1998 she received her BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design and spent a year in Rome, Italy
studying the Masters on a European Honors Program- an experience which had a profound influence on her painting
and her life.
She and her family have been a residents of Apollo Beach since 2004. She became an active
member of the South Shore Arts Council in 2009 and participated in the Ruskin Big Draw. She has
been a featured artist in street painting festivals and has taught private art lessons over the years.
