CHUCK WIRICK

Charles (Chuck) Wirick is a native of Michigan. He studied music at William Tyndale College in Detroit and graduated from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. Following graduation Chuck pursued a musical career in Atlanta, Georgia where he became Director of Music at Chamblee First United Methodist Church and the Peachtree Road Lutheran Church. Returning to Michigan he joined the staff of the Hillsdale College Conference Center where he was employed for 18 years. During these years he was active with the Jackson Civic Theater Company and also acted as Director of Music at Brookside United Methodist Church in Jackson, Michigan.

Upon moving to Apollo Beach in 1990 Chuck became Director of Transportation for Plants of Ruskin. During thirteen years of employment in Ruskin Chuck learned about and came to love the people and history of our area. Chuck has been Director of Music at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Ruskin/Sun City since 1990. After moving to Sun City Center 12 years ago he became active in the SSC community where he is now President of the Pelican Players, Director of the Men's Chorus, Director of the Kings Point Chorus and President of the Kiwanis Foundation.
