A Season of sponsored Drawing & Arts Events
September 15th – October 11th

THE BIG DRAW –Ruskin invites every one of all ages and experience to join in sponsored events using drawing to engage our minds and imaginations.

Drawing workshops, classes and activities are being scheduled and hosted throughout the month by community organizations, museums, libraries, schools and clubs.

Discover drawing as a great learnable medium to explore, express, and observe —and try out new experiences in drawing as both an enjoyable public activity and an individual pursuit..

August 2008 marks the 100th anniversary of Ruskin FL as a community whose founders were influenced by the writings and philosophy of John Ruskin.

THE BIG DRAW- Ruskin is inspired by and linked to the international Campaign for Drawing first initiated in Great Britain to honor John Ruskin.  (www.campaignfordrawing.org)

THE BIG DRAW-Ruskin celebrates the vision of John Ruskin who famously believed in drawing as a tool for understanding and knowledge and promoted the importance of the arts in education and community life.
